The President of Uzbekistan receives the delegation from Pakistan
On September 5, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan led by the Chief of the Army Staff of this country, General Asim Munir.
Issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation and strengthening strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan were discussed.
The distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Kakar to the President of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to maintaining the high growth dynamics of mutual trade, accelerating the implementation of infrastructure projects, and strengthening cooperation between the leading enterprises of the two countries in accordance with the adopted action plan.
Views were exchanged on ensuring regional security, including in the context of the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
The importance of coordinating practical efforts to promote the construction project of the Termez – Mazar-i-Sharif – Peshawar railway was emphasized.
