The President of Uzbekistan notes the importance of further enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus

On August 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova, who arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

The issues of further deepening multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, including the expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation, were discussed.

Ms. Natalia Kochanova conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation and the intensification of contacts and exchanges in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level in February this year.

Trade turnover is increasing, industrial cooperation projects are being successfully implemented, interregional business partnerships are gaining momentum, and events are regularly held within the framework of the cultural and humanitarian program.

The fruitful results of joint events between the parliaments, which are taking place in Tashkent, including meetings in the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the second Women’s Business Forum, were highly appreciated.

The importance of continuing intensive inter-parliamentary dialogue was emphasized to promote specific cooperation projects between the two countries in trade, industry, agriculture, education, healthcare, and other priority areas.
