The employment program for Bukhara region considered

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals for ensuring employment in Bukhara region.

During his trips to the regions, the Head of state pays priority attention to the issue of unemployment and designates the reduction of its level as the main task facing the leaders. Targeted employment programs are now being implemented in all regions.

There are more than 1 million able-bodied population in Bukhara region, of which 76 thousand people are unemployed. About 37,000 young people enter the labor market every year. Considering this, it is planned to eliminate unemployment in Bukhara region in 2023-2025.

There are all possibilities for this. For example, there are 11 cotton-textile and grain-growing clusters in Bukhara. They plan to create 94,000 jobs in industry and agriculture, including 19,000 through the development of home-based work.

In mahallas, it is planned to open 57 micro-centers in industry, handicrafts, home-based work, animal husbandry, trade, and services. It is planned to organize small sewing workshops in 98 mahallas with high unemployment.

The opportunity to put into circulation this year 15,000 hectares of sown areas was noted. These lands will be provided to the population to create new dehkan farms through an open electronic competition. Proposals have also been put forward to auction state assets and create jobs.

It was emphasized that, in general, as a result of these measures, 250 thousand jobs will be created this year. In 2023-2025, Bukhara region will become a region where employment is fully provided.

During the presentation, information was also provided on the project for organizing an IT Cluster in Karakul district in cooperation with India.

The Head of state approved the proposals and gave additional instructions.
