On May 3, as part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum and the Council of Foreign Investors meeting, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with a delegation led by Carolyn Lamm, the chairperson of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce. The meeting also saw the participation of executives from Air Products, CNH Industrial, and Silverleaf.
The current high level of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States was noted, along with the significant contribution of the chamber in enhancing the trade-economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
It was reported that the volumes of mutual trade and investments are steadily growing, with successful projects being implemented in the fields of energy, agriculture, machinery, food industry, and others.
On behalf of the American business community, Carolyn Lamm sincerely thanked the head of state for his personal attention and comprehensive support to the economic interaction between the two countries.
Specific plans for American business to expand its presence in Uzbekistan were discussed, including the introduction of advanced development experiences in financial instruments and mechanisms, as well as the implementation of projects in various sectors.
An agreement was reached to hold a business forum in Tashkent later this year, featuring flagship American companies and banks.
