Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who was born on July 24, 1957, became Uzbekistan’s President in December 2016, succeeding the late Islam Karimov. Before his election as the President of Uzbekistan, he had served as the country’s Prime Minister from 2003 to 2016.

During his time in office, Mirziyoyev has been focusing on making significant changes. He implemented reforms, especially in the economic sphere and diplomatic relations. One of his notable achievements was strengthening collaboration with neighboring countries and increasing Uzbekistan’s involvement in international affairs.
