5,500 cybercrimes in 11 months
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting on improving IT infrastructure and digitalization of areas.
As noted, as the IT sector develops, the relevance of cybersecurity increases.
Over the past 11 months, 5,500 cybercrimes have been committed, of which 70% are bank card fraud.
The country has about 50 payment systems, and not all meet cybersecurity requirements.
In November, a decree of the President was signed on combating crimes committed using information technology. Authorized ministries and agencies were instructed to develop and strictly monitor the implementation of uniform cybersecurity requirements for all electronic payment systems.
At the meeting, it was noted that it is necessary to increase the volume of IT services to 20 trillion UZS, export to $800 million, introduce 130 information systems on the network, and complete the digitalization of 750 government services.
