President of Uzbekistan Condoles With Polish People on Tragic Death of President Kaczynski
As the world media have reported, on Saturday, the April 10 this year, Lech Kaczynski, the President of the Republic of Poland, and some of the country’s highest military and civilian leaders died when the presidential plane crashed as it attempted a landing in thick fog while approaching the airport in Smolensk, the western Russia.
In Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov sent a message of condolences to Bronislaw Komorowski, the speaker of Poland’s parliament and a former defense minister, who, according to the country’s Constitution, took over as interim president of Poland.
“In Uzbekistan with deep regret it has been received the report on the plane crash as a result of which the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczynski, his spouse and members of the Polish delegation have died”, the message read in particular.
“I express the sincerest condolences to the friendly people of Poland and may I ask to convey the words of sympathy for the kith and kin of the fallen,” the presidential message also read.
