SME export problems discussed in Senate
Uzbekistan Senate committees for budget and economic reforms, and for foreign political issues organized a round table on stimulating exports of the small and medium businesses.
The share of small and private business in Uzbekistan?s GDP currently makes up more than 40%. However, not all SMEs can independently export their products.
The meeting participants considered a wide range of issues related to expanding export potential of the SMEs. These included improvement of tax and customs legislation, the state?s currency policy, and supporting SMEs by the state in export issues.
