NEW PRESSES PLANT OF COTTON INDUSTRY
Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Sinocot Tashkent Cotton Equipment put into operation a machine-building plant for the production of equipment for the cotton industry.
According to the Association \"Uzpahtasanoat\", which is one of the founders of the joint venture, the plant is built on the basis of the property complex of the former Tashkent Tractor Plant. The cost of the first phase of the project is 3.5 million USD.
The company started production of heavy hydraulic presses for ginneries. The estimated capacity - 20 presses per year, including 10 for the packaging of cotton fiber and 10 for the packaging of lint (cotton linters, short - up to 15 mm - fiber obtained after the separation of long fibers).
Later, the factory plans to produce other equipment, including a cotton gin.
