Uzbek Martial Art in the United States
Masters of the Uzbek Jang San’ati (Uzbek Art of Combat) have upheld the honor of our country with dignity at the 16th International Festival of Martial Arts in the American city of Orlando.
As a result of the steadfast efforts spearheaded under the leadership of President Islam Karimov to revive and promote our national values, the Uzbek Jang San’ati has been earning wide acknowledgement at the international scale as an effective means of physical and spiritual advancement.
Our athletes, who have for the past years performed at international tournaments in countries like France, Italy, Spain, Russia, Lithuania and South Korea, have now demonstrated the Uzbek Jang San’ati over the ocean. The impressive performances by Uzbek athletes under national motifs were met with a storm of applause by both spectators and specialists.
Our compatriots, who have succeeded at the international tournament that was held as part of the festival, have earned 5 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze medals in single and team performances. The jury specifically appreciated the mastery of our athletes like Humoyun Farmonov, Azamat Abduraimov, Komil Shukurov, Shohrukhmirzo Mamajonov, Nodir Jumaev, Setora Nishonova, Maftuna Khudoyorova, Maftuna Zoirova, Nargiza Khayrullaeva and Gulbahor Ashurova.
