OSCE TO TRAIN PROSECUTORS OF UZBEKISTAN
OSCE Centre in Tashkent in cooperation with the General Prosecutor?s Office of Uzbekistan started one-year training for local prosecutors.
The course is intended to improve practical skills of prosecutors at the pre-trial stage of the case examination. The organizers expect the course to increase the work efficiency of the public prosecutors.
10 to 12 people will be selected of the total of 26 participants on the results of the three-day training held on 26-29 January. They will continue training with prosecutors in the regions of the country. They will be trained together with three teachers of the Learning Centre under the General Public Prosecutor?s Office of Uzbekistan.
The Embassy of the United States in Uzbekistan and American Bar Association/ Central European and Eurasian Legal Initiative (ABA/CEELI) are providing support in organizing the training.
