Industry of Uzbekistan to produce localized products by 832 projects
The government of Uzbekistan determined forecast parameters of localization of finished products, components and materials in 2012 by the Decree of January 31. As forecasted, the localized good to be produced by the industry of Uzbekistan on 832 projects. Industrial cooperation leaders have been determined: business engineering, electrical engineering and aviation industry enterprises, producing goods with high added value. Domestic automotive industry is an example of successful development of the localization. In quite a short period of time, a whole system of enterprises specializing in production of car parts for GM Uzbekistan established in the country. Over the past five-six years, according to Uzavtosanoat, the number of domestic suppliers increased from 20 to 200, and the level of localization of production of passenger cars exceeded 60%. Andijon mechanical plant TAPOiCH not only mastered the production of complete sets of parts and components for automobiles, but also production of spare parts for the fuel and energy industry, mechanical parts and assemblies for the coal industry with the level of localization from 19% to 21%. A special place in the manufacture of import substituting electronic products is taken by enterprises of Uzeltehsanoat association. The industry holds focuses on production of goods with high consumer properties - air conditioners, microwave ovens, gas ranges and electric vacuum cleaners, energy-saving fluorescent lamps, etc. The proportion of regional businesses in the submission of cooperative ties grows. Traditionally, the businessmen of the capital are ahead of others, as they accounts for about one-third of the total number of localized projects. The companies included in the program received incentives and preferences. Until 2014, they are exempt from customs duties for imported technological equipment and spare parts and components not produced in the country. A good incentive is the exemption from income tax, single tax, property tax in terms of fixed assets used for the production of localized products. The allocated funds are directed on the creation of new, expansion, renovation, modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of existing facilities, introduction of quality management systems, funding research and development activities.
